The aloe vera gel can also do some wonders for your face when applied on the face. Although applying aloe vera gel alone on your face works, it is best to mix it with other ingredients for more benefits and faster results.

Below are some ingredients you can mix with your aloe vera gel to make your own aloe vera face masks at home. Chances are, you already have most of these ingredients already at home.

For your aloe vera gel, it will be best if you have your own aloe vera plant at home. Using fresh aloe vera gel is better and much more effective. But if you don’t have an aloe vera plant at home, you can buy some organic aloe vera gel.

1. Aloe Vera and yogurt mask

  • 2 tablespoons aloe vera
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt

Instructions

  • Mix 2 tablespoons of aloe vera with 2 tablespoons of yogurt in a bowl until you get a thick spreadable consistency that is not too runny.
  • Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for about 10 minutes.
  • Rinse your face thoroughly after.

You can also mix aloe vera gel with some ingredients to make your own homemade exfoliant. This removes dead skin from the face to reveal healthy young skin.

It is not advisable to exfoliate daily as it may cause irritation. Instead you can exfoliate once or twice a week.
