Coconut oil is one of the most widely used oils in the beauty industry. This oil has a unique combination of fatty acids which can have positive impacts on your hair and skincare routine, especially if you use organic coconut oil like the one from Gold Bee.
Did you know that there are so many beauty benefits of coconut oil? Here are a few you probably didn’t know.
1. GOOD FOR STRETCH MARKS
Stretch marks are irregular lines on the skin which occurs when the skin stretches to its breaking point leaving the blood vessels underneath visible. Mostly dry skins are prone to stretch marks. As coconut oil is a natural moisturizer, it can help hydrate the skin and prevent or reduce the occurrence of stretch marks. Coconut oil can also help improve the appearance of stretch marks as it helps in the improvement of collagen upsets.
2. CAN BE USED AS A LIP BALM
Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer and locks the moisture on any part of the body when applied. It can be used to treat or prevent chapped lips by reducing or preventing inflammation.
3. USED AS HAIR MASK
Pour virgin coconut oil into a pan and add honey, heat it till it melts and allow it to stand and cool down before applying it to the hair. Leave it for about 15minutes and wash it out.
Coconut oil aids hair growth as it sinks deep into the hair follicles stimulating hair growth. It also leaves it with that sheen look and prevents hair breakage.
4. SUNCREEN PROPERTIES
Virgin coconut oil lacks any additional chemicals in its preparation. It’s a natural antioxidant and protects the skin against harmful sun rays. Studies shows that coconut oil blocks about 75% ultraviolent rays and has an SPF of about 4.
5. AS MAKE UP REMOVER
The virgin coconut oil is cheaper as compared to some facial cleansing agents.
Just apply the coconut oil with a cotton wool. Leave it for about 15 to 20 minutes for it to melt as virgin coconut oil is solid at room temperature. Gently wipe it afterwards with a clean smooth cloth to prevent any scratches on the face. The oil leaves the facial skin glowing afterwards.

6. AS SHAVING BALM
It is an inexpensive natural oil and it has antimicrobial properties.
Apply small amount on the skin during shaving. It helps the shaving blade to glide over smoothly preventing skin irritations or razor bumps leaving the skin moisturized afterwards.
7. FOR TREATING EZCEMA
Coconut oil has antifungal, antimicrobial and antioxidant properties so it can help with the inflammation process as it helps to soothe dry itchy skin. It also helps to keep the skin hydrated as eczema reduces the skin’s ability to stay hydrated.
8. AS MAKE UP BRUSH CLEANER
Makeup brushes are often build up with dirt and some amount of makeup powder, sweat and a whole lot which can cause skin irritations or diseases. Coconut oil can help to get rid of this build-up dirt.
- Pour an amount of lukewarm water in a pan
- Add antimicrobial detergent of your choice to leave the scent you would want
- Drop some amount of coconut oil into the water
- Soak the brushes for about 20-25 minutes
- Remove them and rinse them under running water
- Dry them with a towel and leave it overnight for it to dry well
This is an inexpensive oil that helps to remove dirt build-up to act against any skin diseases. It also leaves the bristle of the brush soft and frizzy.
9. UNDER THE EYES
Rub an amount of coconut oil under the eye daily for best results. It keeps the lighter skin under the eyes nourished and smooth and also helps improve the appearance of dark circles.
10. FOR MASSAGE
Apply coconut oil on the body during a massage as it helps the hands to glide over the body smoothly and it also sinks deep into the skin leaving a nourished glowing appearance.

I knew I liked that stuff! I use it like a moisturizer on my skin. And being a real cheapskate, I recently added just a few drops to my bottle of foundation. I was running low on foundation but no time to buy some before leaving for a trip. The coconut oil helped me get that last bit of color out of the bottle.
Thanks for sharing some other tips for using this miracle product!
Wow, it has a lot of benefits! I didn’t know it was good for stretch marks as well!
