One of the fun parts of being a mom to two little girls is that, I get to try different hairstyles on them. And that means I’m always looking for new kids hairstyles to try on them.
So I found some beautiful kids hairstyle and I thought I should share it on the blog. Hope you find one to inspire the next hairstyle for your little one.
When it comes to kids, braids are a more effective hairstyle choice. It is simple to do and very easy to maintain.
Since braiding can be somewhat painful, it is advisable to not braid their hair too tight. You should also not braid their edges as that can cause their edges to thin out.
Here we have cornrow at the front, bun at the back and two strand twists on the sides. To do this, part the front into three sections. Then for the middle part, using a rubber band to give it a cornrow look to the centre and hold it in a bun on top. Now, with the sides, hold the hair together with a rubberband and braid three different two strand twists. Do this for both sides.
This is a lovely feed-in braids hairstyle for a little girl. To do this, braid the feed -in braids assymetrically and hold them together at the top in a bun.
Two column cornrow styles is the statement hairstyle for your little girl. Part the hair into two sections and braid the cornrows backwards. After that, you can braid a colorful hair string around it to make it more beautiful.
This is also a simple yet beautiful cornrow style to do for kids. Here we have two statement cornrows with three small cornrows to each side. Then accessorize the hair with these beads metal cuffs.
This is a pretty unique cornrow hairstyle. Unlike the usual way of braiding the cornrows to the back, these cornrows are braided to the sides and held in a bun at the side.
Double buns hairstyle
Holding your hair in a bun is just so beautiful but cornrows in a bun are just gorgeous. The asymmetrical braid styles make the hairstyle look even chicer. This cornrow hairstyle is braided with a wine color hair. The wine mixed with black creates a striking look for the braids.
You can also try this adorable cornrow style with double buns on the head. And the side cornrows are braided to the front instead of the back.
Butterfly hair braidstyle
Here we have an asymmetrical cornrow held together in a ponytail and accessorized with beads of different colors.
You can also do this lovely braided hairstyle that forms a heart on the head coming down in a low ponytail for your little girl. She is definitely going to love it.
This is a cute rubberband hairstyle held in two buns at the top.
For boys you can try these finger coils. Although it may not look like it, this is a very easy hairstyle to do. To do this, wash and condition the hair, then apply a hair gel or curl cream to hold the coils in place. Now using your finger, yes your fingers, twirl the hair around piece by piece to get this beautiful hairstyle. Easy right?
You can also do mohawk cornrows for your little one. To do this, braid vertical cornrows on the sides and then twist up the braids to the center.
How gorgeous is this circular cornrow. To do this start by braiding the cornrows from the center outwards. once you are done bring them all together by braiding a jumbo box braid around it.
Here we have an upper cornrow in a bun and a lower conrow in a bun. Simple yet adorable.
This cornrows with jumbo twists is a super adorable hairstyle for your little one.
What makes this cornrow style exceptional is how the beads are arranged to form a face. It is a very creative hairstyle and you can try this using hair beads of different colors.
I look at the intricate design on these cornrows and I instantly think, leaf pattern. It’s adorable and a great back to school hairstyle for little kids. Don’t forget to accessorize with beads to make it more beautiful.
You can also do box braids for your little one. To do this by yourself at home, wash and condition the hair. Then section the hair into parts. Then divide each section into pieces. The pieces will be the size of your box braids, so you can make it big or small. Now take one piece and part into three, then take your synthetic hair for braiding and add it to the hair to braid in threes. Do this for all the hair pieces. You can see youtube for box braid tutorial videos.
For this hairstyle, braid the cornrows from the front to the top, then do another set of braids from the bottom to the top, then hold them together in a ponytail and twist the hair. After that, accessorize the twists with beads and use a colored hair thread to accessorize the cornrows.
