I want to start by saying a very big thank you to God for Kayla’s health. A year today, she was very sick and couldn’t even enjoy her birthday. But God being so good, this year, she’s strong, healthy and happy and so excited about her birthday.
She woke up this morning and immediately started asking of her cake, that is how excited she is about her birthday.
For her first two birthdays, I chose the theme and everything but now that she is older and I can communicate with her, I didn’t want to do what I wanted.
So about a month ago, I asked her about everything she would like on her birthday and she said she wanted to wear the birthday crown and she also wanted flowers and butterflies on her birthday cake.
I wasn’t surprised though because she stops to pick and smell flowers all the time and whenever she sees butterflies she doesn’t stop chasing them.
So flowers and butterflies are indeed two of her favourite things, and I did exactly what she asked for and she is so happy and that makes me happy. Because as a mom, all I want is for my kids to be happy.
So I want to wish my Kayla a very happy birthday. I wish for her joy and happiness for all the days of her life.
