Method
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Slowly add warm water and mix until a smooth, thick but pourable batter forms.
- Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for 1–2 hours until the dough doubles in size.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Using a spoon or ice cream scoop, drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil.
- Fry for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
