  • ½ cup Christmas M&M's
  • 2 tablespoons Christmas sprinkles
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Step 2: Make The Marshmallow Mixture
  1. In a large saucepan set over medium-low heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the mini marshmallows and stir frequently until completely melted and smooth.
Step 3: Coat The Popcorn
  1. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
  2. Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the popcorn and gently stir with a rubber spatula until evenly coated.
Step 4: Add The Mix-Ins
  1. Allow the mixture to cool slightly for 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Fold in the Christmas M&M's and festive sprinkles until evenly distributed.
Step 5: Shape The Popcorn Balls
  1. Lightly spray your hands with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Scoop approximately 1 cup of the popcorn mixture and gently press it together to form a ball.
  3. Place on a parchment-lined tray.
  4. Repeat until all of the mixture has been used.
Step 6: Cool And Serve
  1. Allow the popcorn balls to cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • Remove all unpopped kernels before mixing to prevent hard bites.
  • Let the mixture cool slightly before shaping to avoid burning your hands.
  • Don't compress the popcorn too firmly or the popcorn balls may become dense and hard.
  • Reapply cooking spray to your hands as needed while shaping.
  • For smaller popcorn balls, use about ½ cup of mixture per ball and double the yield.
