A cat eye makeup is similar to a winged liner, but it has a thicker wing that encompasses both the top and bottom lash lines.
To do a basic cat eye makeup, follow these steps:
- Prepare the region around the eyes. To create a smooth, even base for your makeup and to help it adhere better, use concealer or eyeshadow primer under your eyes and on your eyelids.
- At a 45-degree angle, draw a short, thin line from the outside corner of your eye up to the end of your brow.
- Draw a thin line over the upper eyelid with an eyeliner, following the natural curve of your upper lash line from the inner corner to the outside corner of your eye. Apply the same technique to the bottom lash line.
- Smooth, curved lines connect your wing to your upper and lower lash lines. If there are any gaps, more eyeliner can be used to fill up the gaps.
