The heat applied to your face during this face sauna, improves blood circulation. This helps prevent the formation of fine lines and wrinkles and reveals a younger looking skin. The herbs and oils added to the water also improves the face and evens out your complexion when absorbed into the skin.

5. For cold

Face steaming when you have a cold, clears up your sinuses and makes it easier to breathe. It also helps to calm your nerves.

How to steam your face

  1. Pour hot water into a bowl. Not a bowl that is too big, just big enough for your face.
  2. Add some herbs, flowers and essential oils.
  3. Cover your head with a towel. This make sure that the steam is trapped inside and your face gets enough.
  4. Bring your face close to the hot bowl of water. Close enough that you feel the steam on your face but not too close that the steam burns your face.

I love doing face steaming once a fortnight then apply a mask. Like a mini facial. But I never thought if adding herbs and essential oils. I will try that soon. Lovely post my dear.
