Shortly after meeting at the bank where Nana Opoku worked, Stephanie and Nana began their love story. In 2013, when Steph was in her second year at the university she went to pay for her tuition at the bank where she met Nana.
3 years after that Stephanie travelled to the United States. For most couples, that would have been the end. But this couple stayed true to each other and finally tied the knot in 2020.
“4 years long distance, it hasn’t been easy but my husband was so consistent”- the bride says.
Long distance relationships are really not easy and most at times, they don’t work out. Both of you have to be willing and consistent to make it work. And that is exactly what Nana And Stephanie did.
By 2020, they were finally together again and they had their beautiful traditional wedding and white wedding in Rockville, Maryland.
Personalized bouquet
For her walk down the aisle, Stephanie clutched a collection of white and pastel orange roses but what made this bouquet so special was the photo pendant with her mother’s photos attached to the bouquet.
Stephanie lost her mom only last year but she carried her mom with her on her wedding day.
Guest of honour
Steph reserved a seat at her wedding in memory of her late mother.
Getting ready
It was all fun and laughter as the bride got ready with her bridesmaids. The bride wore a white satin robe and her bridesmaids wore a matching floral bath robe.
The bridal makeup was done by beauty by bless and the bridesmaids’ makeup were done by beauty perfection makeover.
Mermaid wedding dress
Stephanie wore a gorgeous mermaid wedding dress with off shoulders by Eldoti.

The bridesmaids wore matching blush dresses with spaghetti straps by eldoti.
The groom and his groomsmen
For his big day, Nana wore a black and white suit from legend bespoke with a black bow tie and a boutonniere.
His groomsmen wore black suits with white shirt and black bow tie and boutonniere.
The walk down the aisle
Steph’s dad walked her down the aisle to the song incredible God by Mercy Chinwo. This song expresses how good God has been to her and how grateful she is.
I do
The couples exchanged their vows in front of their family and friends.
All white setting
The couple had their reception at the Radissons hotel. Tall centrepieces decorated with differents flowers were used to set the tables. Guests were served in beautiful crystal and silver plates.
Let’s dance
The couple’s first dance was to this is why I love you by Major.
Reception outfit
At the reception the bride wore a gold patterned bodycon dress by topefnr. The groom also wore a jacket by urbangreygh.
